Hi, my name is Quemonaho Guy Aurelien Bagne.
I never set out to be a photographer; I was a writer first, always captivated by stories and the power they have to move us. But one day, words alone couldn’t capture the visions in my mind. Every scene I imagined felt blurry, lacking the detail I craved. To sharpen my mind’s eye, I picked up my first camera and started experimenting, seeking to see the world differently.
The turning point came in June 2020, during the height of the pandemic. I snapped a photo of my daughter in the afternoon light—her eyes gazed right through the lens, and for the first time in a long while, I saw clarity. It was more than a photograph; it was a story unfolding before me, a moment I knew would stay with me forever. It was then I realised that photography wasn’t just a skill but my calling—a new way to tell stories that words alone could not. My style is a blend of moody atmospheres and vibrant pops of colour.
I aim to enchant and hypnotise, making each image not just a snapshot but a moment suspended in time, filled with emotion. When I work with clients, I see myself not just as their photographer but as a collaborator, an accomplice in their story. I believe trust is built through connection, so I take the time to meet with clients, learn their stories, and plan together.
This way, they feel comfortable and confident that I’m not just capturing images but crystallising memories that will last a lifetime. Inspiration comes to me from everyday life—people walking down the street, living their unique stories. It’s like a movie with countless characters, each offering a different perspective on the same world. That’s what I strive to capture: the unexpected beauty of everyday moments, turned into memories that will outlive us, passed down through generations.
